Quality & Certificates

Every shipment of Egyptian granite is inspected against your specification — measurements, finish, thickness, and packing.

Quality control at Egyptian Granite by EG is a documented, multi-stage process — not a single final check. Each Egyptian granite shipment is inspected at the quarry, on the cutting line, after polishing, and again at packing, with traceable numbering across slabs, bundles, and crates.

Material properties: Egyptian granites are dense igneous stones with high compressive strength (typically 180–250 MPa), very low water absorption (generally below 0.4%), high abrasion resistance (Mohs hardness 6–7), and excellent resistance to UV, weathering, salt spray, and freeze–thaw cycling. Test reports for each lot are available on request.

Dimensional control: slabs are checked for length, width, thickness tolerance, edge squareness, and corner protection. Tiles are calibrated and gauged for consistent thickness and right-angle precision. Cut-to-size pieces are checked against your project drawings before crating.

Surface finish: polished surfaces are inspected for gloss uniformity and absence of scratches; honed, flamed, bush-hammered, sandblasted, and leathered finishes are checked for texture consistency across the lot.
