Factory & Production

From Egyptian Quarry to Your Container

A continuous, inspected production process — every block traced from selection through polishing, packing, and shipment.

Every Egyptian granite shipment from Egyptian Granite by EG begins at the quarry face and ends sealed inside a container at the port. In between sits a continuous, inspected production process — block selection, gangsaw and block-cutter sawing, optional resin treatment, finishing, dimensional and surface QC, traceable numbering, ISPM-15 wooden packing, container loading, and full export documentation.

Our material is quarried across Egypt's historic granite belts: the Aswan belt in Upper Egypt for Black Aswan, Red Aswan, and the Gandola family; the Halayeb region on the Red Sea coast for New Halayeb and the Halayeb whites; the Sharka (Shirka) belt for Grey Shirka and Sherka; Forsan and the broader Eastern Desert for Red Forsan, Red Horus, Red Nefertiti, and Rosa El Nasr / Rosa Hody; and South Sinai around Saint Katherine for Rosa Katrina.

Quarry blocks are hand-selected for color, grain, and structural integrity, then trucked to our processing factory. Gangsaw lines produce large-format slabs (typically 2.6–3.0 m × 1.6–2.0 m) in 2 and 3 cm thickness; block cutters produce calibrated tiles (30×30 up to 80×80 cm in 1, 1.5, or 2 cm). Cut-to-size production runs in parallel: stairs, treads, risers, countertops, vanities, façade panels, and copings made to your project drawings.

After cutting, finishing lines deliver the full range of surface finishes — polished, honed, flamed, brushed, sandblasted, bush-hammered, tumbled, split-face, leathered, and acid-washed. Every piece is then inspected for color, finish, dimensional tolerance, and structural quality before bundling. Slabs go to A-frame wooden bundles with foam interleaves and corner protection; tiles into ISPM-15 fumigated wooden crates; blocks load loose with hardwood dunnage.
